Once again I have received a request for an animal and once again here it is!!!(: The giant panda. The giant panda is native to central western china. They are very easily recognised by their unique eye patch's and the pattern of black and white fur,if you can call it a pattern. They are considered carnivores but their diet is 99% bamboo, even though they will eat quite a few other things, such as eggs, honey, shrubs, and fish.A interesting fact about the panda is that it has evolved a thumb a sixth digit for grasping bamboo and riping the leaves of the branch.Although it is barely noticeable and very undeveloped,it still exists.Like the hyacinth macaw, these animals are extremely endangered, however their species numbers are increasing.
